Sadly i have no time to do #3 since im going to attempt the editor test and typesetting test.
Yes i know #2 is a rush job with some dust around the edges. Did best i could in minimal amount of time.

One big thing is to make sure the Blacks are Black and the Whites are White!
Leveling and Burning is IMO one of the biggest parts of cleaning
( I can't see your clean since my work blocks nearly all image hosting sites but I'll let you know what I think when I get home later )
Edit: The redraws look really nice! But the Blacks need to get all the way to black and white all the way to white.
It looks like you didn't really level it much at all. That should be what you always do first.
If you did level. you didn't level enough

I know some of the Burning and Dodge tool. But none of the methods for Manga cleaning. Only photo restoration touch-ups. I tend to do a New adjustment layer and fix the brightness and contrast for these specific 'scans'. I have never heard of Leveling before.

leveling it first then use burn tool would be much easier.

Oh, Just found the 'Idiot's Guide to Cleaning Manga' going to read up on that.

I should probably read that too. I think it might help with manually redrawing everything with a pen...

well, redrawing is not easy to do perfectly.

your blacks need to be totally black. other than that its good.

I'll wait for more pages before I get detailed, but your redrawing is quite good as compared to your other skills. It's kinda funny, practically running before you can walk. Practice your leveling as has been mentioned then I don't think there will be an issue getting in.
