I started playing Negima Private Lesson 1, and just like it's sequel, I cannot make heads or tails of the storyline, it seems as though most of 3A has gotten lost inside the labyrinth beneath the Library Island, and Negi has to find them.
So far I have located Asuna, Setsuna, Konoka, Nodoka, Yue, Kaede, Ayaka, and Makie, and Ku Fei, and Mana have also become available to join the party.
Unlike the sequel, Yue, and Makie, are not playable.
Unlike the sequel, casting buff or healing spells, works differently and the whole party uses the same deck, rather than having each character use their own individual deck.
As always however, Asuna levels up the fastest, and seems to be close to the top when it comes to offensive capabilities. Nodoka, is very weak, however.
And in between forays into the labyrinth, Eva and Chachamaru are available to battle against for xp and tutorials.
In the tutorial for linked attack cards (about the fourth tutorial I think) Chachamaru and Chachazero fight on Negi's side against Evangeline, instead of fighting Negi.
Shizuna sensei, and Takamichi appear in the game as well, and are absent in the sequel.

have you ever considered modding another game, like HALO or DoW to behave like an RPG. you'd only need to mess with an attribute editor and maybe a bit of AI coding. its definitely possible. im sure if you looked hard enough you;d find someone who can make the models and maps.

nah, its easier than it sounds. to "mod" the game you just need to change numbers and checkboxes and models. when you mod DoW (dawn of war) you click on the race, click on the unit, then change the range, starting number, and model. things like that, its EASY. the hard part would be the SCAR and the graphic works. but you could find snippets for the scar (i think) and get someone to make the models. thats for the DoW modding, idk much about HALO modding though. i can give you some sites if you want.

Negi (Mage Robe), Negi (Chuukenpo outfit), "Nagi" (Granicus Arena Outfit), Chachamaru (Standard form)

Note that I have recoloured Negi's Mage Robe, so it is white rather than brown, and I have finallly full sprites of "Nagi" and Chachamaru, including side views.

A Rakan BMG.....ahahahaha I have one, it's just too good to pass up. Well why not go for that 80's style mellow MANLY theme. I think Disgaea had a BMG that fiis this one, I think it's Etna's theme the one with the male vocal doing a slow oldies kinda song. It just reminds me of Over passionate Male guys staring into the sunset while standing next to each other with overflowing tears. XD This fits Rakan's MANLY persona XD In my opinion it's a perfect fit for Rakan XD

As for cannon fodders XD You can go for almost any monsters you like, heck; there are a lot you'll have trouble picking which one you like. Let's see for starters SLIMES! XD hahaha or something similar just to represent the weak monsters at the beginning XD Try different animals like birds or wolves and give them weird names >_> ahahaha just kidding with the weird names. You can add that griffin Yue's team fought or that Tentacle monster that got intimate with Chisame XD The obvious choice for high level monsters would be wyverns and dragons so I won't suggest those. That's it for now, I'll be waiting for your reply before I give further suggestions. Good luck.

Is it just me, or are Shirabe/aka Brigette, and Tamaki's transformations rock.
too bad they were going up against a monster like Rakan so you can't even tell how strong they are.
They are going to be hard to sprite.
