hmmm. how 'bout this:
NAME:
Phyrion
CLASS:
Rogue? (IDK, his skillz are quite varied.)
RACE:
Human
SKILLZ:
He primarily fights using a sword but is still good with a bow. He posses a lot of knowledge about how to survive in the wild, so he knows what plants heal what wounds and where to find food etc. He can use some simple magic, mostly anti-beast/demon/youki/oni/whatever you call the monsters. he can identify even high level spells, though not cast them or counteract them with magic unless the spell has an inherit flaw (like saving the sacrifice/disrupting incantation/he uses some mysterious artifact)
STORY:
He was born as the son of a knight in a small nouthern castle. As a child he excelled at swordplay and fighting in general, but hated to use bows, even though he was skilled at them for his age. When he came of age, he became a knight, just like his father. He soon became famous for his great skill with a sword, so when the then king <insert current king's fathers name here> toured the south, he was chosed by his lord to become apart of the kings escort during the tour. When he single-handedly defeated slew an orc chieftain and 20 members of the pride, he was immediatly given the role of Kings Guard, the elite of the country.
While kings guard he was required to learn about magic, how to cast it and how to stop it incase the king was ever attacked by a sorcerer or other magic user. Through various deeds he became known to the Deity, Fenrir and was tasked to protect his den from all intruders.
He was brilliant at his duty, not a single thing got through. but this would work against him.... One day a magic user cast an anceint spell suppoedly known only to those entrusted to it by the deities, a spell that allowed something to get inside, and something precious of Fenrirs.
Such a failure was not allowed, Fenrir banished Phyrion to the wilds, cursed so that all wolves will hunt him and all humans will distrust him. Only Phyrion knows the truth, the someTHING got past him that day with that most anceint and powerful spell. even today he hunts it down searching to the corners of Ordonia using what little magic he has left to track it. The ways of a warrior failed him, so he has turned to the ways of a hunter, even using his most hated weapon, the bow, to help him gain vengence.
NOTES: he was extremely skilled with a bow for a kid when he was young, but he didnt practice, so he never got better, indeed he even got worse.
yeah, you aspects of the story, like whether it was the kings father ot the current king, what monsters he fought, what position he has when he was young were put in there because the fitted, but other things might too. Additionally, as he used to hold such a high rank, he still knows a few of his old comrades, who are now quite high up the militar, but few, as they are all getting old now.
