PostSubject: Help with Japanese   Wed Jul 15, 2009 8:13 pm

Hey everyone. Long time no see
I know I've been away for a while and I've been very busy with school work.
But my Japanese is getting rusty, although I've learned quite a bit of verbs and adjective.
Nevertheless, I think it's about time for me to revise/study Japanese, meaning, it's about time for me to translate from Japanese.

Now, before I ask you, I'd have to explain. As a newbie, I would really need a partner who is proficient in Japanese and who will check my translations. So, it's a bit like, I'll mainly translate, leave bits which I can't (e.g. most of Osakan/Kansai/Internet slang) and he translates and checks for errors. I suppose like a student-teacher relationship. Or Senpai thingy.
This would be a great experience and it would definitely allow me to learn the casual and expand my Japanese (and probably get A's as well as having an excuse to sleep/be lazy in class).
Also, this would take quite a bit of time as you can already tell, and I really can't find a remedy for that at the moment, unless you guys can organise something.
And this is purely for my own (read: selfish) educational (read: marks already going down) purposes. I really wouldn't mind a pressure as it would be more of a homework than a hobby. Thus, do remember that I would have priorities on my subjects, such as English.

So, my question is this, will you please help me? Can you assign me to a 'senpai' and give me an assignment? I'll be translating purely from Japanese, not Korean. And it will not be a hobby thing or speed translation. Just pure educational for me and hopefully, for your group.
And thus, I'll be all yours, meaning, I'll be listening and following all of your orders without a complaint. I suppose almost robot like.
So please, it will be a great help in improving my Japanese.
And at the very least, thank you for reading this long post.

holy, ^^ didnt see this one. I can barely touch internet lately. nice idea if I should say, but I don't have the time to help, so there is nothing I can do I m afraid. you can ask the other maybe.

and wouldn't it easier to do it in korean instead? ^^ no time required for more study after all.

Same with Baito although he still does that for us from time to time. I have enough time to translate chapters but not enough to teach. Also, I'm lousy at teaching.

Well, it's not teaching.
It's more of translation checking, I suppose and parts that I might not be able to translate
