We added a user group for people who would like to learn to scanlate called Scanlation Academy. it is an open group (any one can join) with no member requirements. you are not required to join our group or do any work for us. This is a way for you to identify yourself as a person who would like to learn to scanlate manga, so we can give you specialized attention. this group is still new and in its beta stages but you are welcome to join. i am asking TM if i can grant access to certain areas that regular members don't normally have access to. so please, if you are interested please join the Scanlation Academy group.

*New Abilities* Academy students now have access to areas that the regular non-AAS team members cant get to; the Scanlator's Corner, the n00b section, and the Sneak Peak Section which we will now be updating more. (all that we ask is that 1) you dont leak any of our scanlations, and 2) that you help us out by quality checking the manga after you read it (just tell some one that there is a mistake if you see one please)

IF YOU LEAK ANY OF OUR CHAPTERS THE WHOLE GROUP WILL LOOSE ACCESS TO THE FORUM (leaking= posting chapter on OM, BU or any other site/forum without our permission)

im not sure if we should let them see all of the staff forum, some of our chapter might get leaked early.

Wait...what? This group is meant more for those who aren't part of a group that genuinely want to learn/have interest in joining. Not saying you can't, but you already have access to these areas.

i really want this to be a group for those who want to join us but aren't good enough, or rookies still learning the ropes. the benefit for us is we can find new people to join us and they will benefit by getting special attention and access to areas that the regular non-AAS team members cant access ie: scanlator's corner, n00b section, and if TM allows sneek peak section (not that we ever update that section

well, since our chapters wont get leaked, its seems like a good idea.

Then, how do you join? I see no directions on how to. What? PM TM? Post it right here? What? Make a Forum section as adopt a senpai?Or do like people who want to learn will post like applications and you senpai's will adopt students?

Edit: Just read the annoucements, if you do post a thread in the Welcome section, I think it will become overcrowded for some reasons:
If you want to become a bigger group, which I believe you do, then more forumers will go to the Welcome section and say their Hi's and so forth+ the academy stuff, and also, i suggest that people who do want to teach, post their times online, contact info (email etc.) and so forth, even better for those tech savvy people, stream video to your students computer of your computer's desktop and teach from there with voice layover o.o

I didn't say to make a thread in the welcome section. Posting in this sticky is the way to do it unless someone posting an intro were to want to join then cool.
